Maguette Academy

From digital innovation to safe community practice.

Maguette Academy is WASSOR Womanity's training and implementation programme built around Maguette. It helps the people around young people use digital mental-health tools safely, understand their limits, and connect young people to human support when it matters.

Training · Safeguarding · Referral · Implementation

Why the Academy exists

An app alone does not change a system

Safe implementation needs more than access to technology. It needs people who understand mental-health literacy, safeguarding, referral pathways, confidentiality and the boundaries of their role. The Academy brings those pieces together without turning teachers, youth workers or peers into clinicians.

01

Learn

Accessible learning pathways build practical mental-health literacy and confidence around Maguette.

02

Practise

Participants work through real-world scenarios, boundaries, safeguarding and referral decisions.

03

Connect

The Academy strengthens the bridge between young people, trusted adults, institutions and professional care.

Two core pathways

Built for the people who make support possible

Professionals & intermediaries

For teachers, counsellors, youth workers, NGO staff, health professionals and institutional partners using Maguette in real settings.

  • Mental-health literacy grounded in young people's realities
  • Using Maguette within clear scope-of-practice boundaries
  • Safeguarding, confidentiality and risk response
  • Referral and post-screening conversations

Youth Champions · ages 18–24

Trusted young people who introduce Maguette to peers, model healthy help-seeking and connect young people to appropriate support. Champions are connectors, not counsellors.

  • Peer communication and responsible introduction to Maguette
  • Recognising when to involve a trusted adult or professional
  • Safeguarding responsibilities and clear behavioural boundaries
  • Ongoing support, accountability and WASSOR affiliation

Safety by design

Training is part of the safeguarding infrastructure

The Academy treats safeguarding, privacy, referral and role boundaries as core competencies rather than optional add-ons. Maguette is a first door to support and a bridge to human care — not a diagnosis, an AI therapist or a replacement for professional services.

Learning pathway

Structured learning, practice and accountability

  1. 01

    Enrolment and orientation

  2. 02

    Guided learning

  3. 03

    Knowledge check

  4. 04

    Live discussion and practice

  5. 05

    Practical assessment

  6. 06

    Feedback and completion

  7. 07

    Attestation decision

Where a safety-critical competency is not yet demonstrated, participants receive feedback and an opportunity for further learning before reassessment.

For organisations

Implementation, not just distribution

Schools, youth organisations and institutional partners need more than access to an app. WASSOR supports implementation with onboarding, safeguarding guidance, referral protocols and follow-up so that Maguette sits inside a real system of care.

In development

A growing WASSOR implementation asset

The Academy is being built in phases so that each part is tested in practice, strengthened by feedback and integrated with WASSOR's wider research, safeguarding and institutional partnerships.
